# MayaUPS

MayaUPS is bilingual EN-CA / FR-CA, multi-vendor UPS monitoring software for Windows and Linux. The current release is free with no feature gating; final licence terms are awaiting approval.

Key facts:
- Customer-managed deployment on the local network or customer-controlled infrastructure; MayaUPS is not a hosted SaaS service.
- Monitors UPS, PDU, ATS, and environmental sensors over SNMP v1/v2c/v3.
- Supports direct USB-HID and Megatec/Q1 serial sources through an optional agent.
- Uses the RFC-1628 UPS MIB plus vendor profiles to normalize alarms and operating states.
- The standard RFC-1628 profile is verified. Vendor-specific profiles are present for APC, Eaton, Vertiv/Liebert, CyberPower, and other hardware, but remain pending real-hardware verification.
- Tracks battery install date, nominal life, preventive maintenance, temperature-adjusted estimates, and battery_due / pm_due alarms about 30 days ahead.
- Sends SMTP email and JSON webhook notifications with grouping, return-to-normal notices, escalation, retries, and an optional daily digest.
- Provides fleet health, histories, energy views, planning, maintenance windows, calendar, service reports, budget views, roles, backups, restore, and audit records.
- Implements controlled shutdown through Observe → Dry-run → Armed, SNMP-SET, and an mTLS host agent. Live-action paths still require final real-hardware bench approval before general release.
- The software repository contains a security policy, threat model, security review, hardening notes, and a CycloneDX SBOM. The marketing site is live; public security contact and approved legal terms remain software-release dependencies.
